Message from the CEO
Dear SLCP signatories,
Welcome back from the break, happy new year and season’s greetings to those who celebrate.
This year is an opportunity for us to reflect and refine the direction of the organization in line with our five-year plan. Last year we established a solid foundation as an independent organization and grew the program and its impact.
In 2025, we will focus on consolidating the organization now that the transition is complete. We will continue to build upon the ongoing projects and activities from 2024, ensuring we prioritize those that contribute to our mission and key objectives: delivering credible and actionable data that drive decent work in global supply chains. The 2025 plan has been approved by the SLCP Board, and you can read more about it below.
In this Newsflash, you will also find information about the launch of CAF v1.7 and related updates.
I also encourage you to complete our Credibility Survey – it only takes about 5 minutes. Your feedback is essential to our growth and helps us maintain high standards of data quality and integrity.
Thank you for your continued support and I look forward to working together in 2025.
In alignment with feedback from our Signatory Survey, and based on progress and challenges encountered in 2024, SLCP has four new core focus areas for 2025:
Increasing acceptance of the CAF and SLCP data
Strengthening trust in SLCP and our data
Driving effective partnerships with key partners
Maturing the organization including up-skilling, professionalizing and prioritizing
Tool update: CAF v1.7 and verification upcharge fee changes
The next update of the Converged Assessment Framework (CAF v1.7) is in development and will be available to use soon. Stay tuned for an invite to our Launch Webinar in the coming months!
As part of the launch of CAF v1.7 and after careful deliberation by the SLCP Board, there will be a $50 increase of SLCP’s verification upcharge fee. This brings the total verification upcharge fee to $350 for CAF v1.7 verifications. Verification upcharge fees for CAF v1.6 assessments will remain at $300.
This is the first increase in SLCP’s verification upcharge fee in five years. The fee adjustment reflects the benefits provided by the development of CAF v1.7 and future updates, including further alignment with legislative frameworks and tool translations. It will also allow for improved customer services and system optimization.
The fee change will enable further investment in the Program to support continued development and innovation of SLCP, encouraging even more stakeholders to create a positive impact in global supply chains.
