With this newsflash we are pleased to announce the upcoming SLCP Board elections and invite you to nominate candidates. Please find all the details below.
What is the SLCP Board?
SLCP became an independent foundation in February 2024. The Board is a strategic body which shapes the priorities of SLCP and ensures that it fulfils its mission & vision. The Board has the ultimate responsibility and authority on key decisions, including strategy, governance, and budget. The Board is made up of Signatory representatives (9), Independent experts (3), and Strategic Partners (1-3).
As we want to ensure continuity, board seats will be (re)elected in a staggered way, through annual elections. Therefore, similar to 2024, 3 Supervisory Board seats will be up for election in 2025:
1 representative for Manufacturers, Suppliers, Producer Associations,
1 representative for Brands, Retailers, Agents, Trade/retail associations,
1 representative from other categories: Standard Holders, Multi-stakeholder Initiatives.
Who can nominate an SLCP Board candidate?
✅ Only Signatories with voting rights can participate in the elections and nominate candidates (from a Signatory organization). Self-nomination is also possible.
What are we looking for in a candidate SLCP Board member?

In addition to this desired profile, SLCP strives for diversity in its board particularly on geographical/cultural background, gender, skillset and experience. Given SLCP’s strategy to gradually expand to additional industries, experience in non-apparel/adjacent sectors is a preference.
