For practical information on using the SLCP Converged Assessment Framework, please go to the SLCP Gateway. Your responses needed: 2022 Signatory Survey We request all SLCP signatories to kindly complete the annual signatory survey by Friday, 25 November. We have 270 signatories, and we need as many responses as possible to ensure the results are representative of the full signatory base. We only require one response per signatory. Here is a PDF of the questions to help you prepare.  CAF v1.5 Launch in FFC We are delighted to announce that the Converged Assessment Framework Version 1.5 is now live on the FFC platform. CAF v1.5 will launch on the Higg platform and in applicable Better Work countries at the end of this month. You can familiarise yourself with the changes (and update your mapping if applicable) by consulting the files available here. We also encourage signatories to sign up for the launch webinar scheduled for the end of this month (details below). Register through the links below:  Tuesday 29 November 2022 - 17:00 CET / 16:00 GMT / 11:00 EST  (Register here) Wednesday 30 November 2022 - 10:00 CET / 14:30 IST / 17:00 HKT (Register here) Integrity of SLCP Verifier Bodies & Verification Process For SLCP, the integrity and quality of our Verifier Bodies, Verifiers, verification process and data are one of the highest priorities.    The Verification Oversight Organization (VOO) has recently conducted an in-depth investigation into allegations of ethics violations raised against an SLCP approved Verifier Body. The VOO has identified a breach of quality management and has suspended the organization involved as an SLCP approved Verifier Body for one year.   For the duration of the suspension, facilities will not be able to select this VB for SLCP verifications until reapplication has been approved. The VOO has individually contacted the facilities who contracted with this VB and alerted them about the case. Based on current SLCP quality assurance activities performed by the VOO, the reports were not flagged for unusual patterns in verified data. The verified assessments conducted by this Verifier Body therefore remain valid and facilities can continue to share them with business partners. SLCP recommends completing a new assessment and verification every 12 months.   If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to our VOO at voo_ethics@sumerra.com. Introducing our Assessment and Verification Oversight Associate, Annelise Lemes! Annelise supports SLCP in the maintenance and implementation of the Converged Assessment Framework. Annelise has a background in engineering and sustainability and over five years of experience in supporting companies to implement their sustainability policies and responsible sourcing commitments in Brazil. Her expertise includes responsible sourcing of agricultural commodities, benchmarking, supplier engagement, and capacity building training development and delivery. Annelise describes her best vacation as the one she went on every summer with her family as a kid: to her grandmother’s house on the coast of southern Brazil. In the next five years, Annelise aspires to travel to Asia as she has always been fascinated by the different cultures in the region.
