Welcome to the SLCP Signatory Newsflash!

24 January 2022

Dear SLCP signatories,

Please find the latest updates from SLCP below. For practical information on using the SLCP Converged Assessment Framework, please go to the SLCP Gateway.

Reminder: Verifier Body is the Facility’s Choice
As SLCP adoption continues to scale and grow beyond just our signatory base, we ask for your support in ensuring that the principle of facility ownership remains central to the ethos of SLCP.  In line with this, it is the facility that chooses which Verifier Body (VB) to use for an SLCP verification. Brands and other end-users can recommend VBs to their suppliers but it is ultimately the facility’s decision. We expect all brands and organizations that have opted in to our acceptance list to accept all SLCP verified data, no matter which Verifier Body conducted the verification.
Reporting Non-Acceptance of SLCP Assessments
Facilities can use the form to report non-acceptance of SLCP to let us know if their buyers on the list are imposing use of a specific VB or rejecting verified assessments due to the VB used. We will investigate all such reports and will remove any brand or organization from the list that are not fulfilling their commitment to accept all SLCP verified data.
Verifier Body Performance Scores
The VOO issues all VBs with a performance score; although these are not currently shared publicly, you can ask individual VBs to share their score with you and compare this to the average VB score on our public QA dashboard. If you have concerns about a particular VB, please report these to the Verification Oversight Organization (VOO) through this feedback form.
Update to the Signatory Charter
In the final Council meeting of 2021, the Council reviewed the SLCP Signatory Charter and approved new wording that clarifies SLCP's Intellectual Property (IP) of the CAF. The additional line states that signatories commit to “contribute to continuous improvement of the CAF and CAF processes. We understand the CAF is owned by SLCP and is publicly available”. This updated version will be the official Signatory Charter of 2022.
