ABVTEX and SLCP collaboration We are excited to announce a new collaboration agreement with the Brazilian Association of Textile Retail (ABVTEX). ABVTEX and the Social and Labor Convergence Program (SLCP) have a shared goal of improving labor conditions in fashion supply chains by implementing robust social compliance systems and tools while avoiding audit duplications. Both organizations recognize that collaboration and harmonization are essential to further reducing audit fatigue. With the support of mutual stakeholders, ABVTEX and SLCP wish to build alignment between the programs.    SLCP and ABVTEX have been exploring opportunities for collaboration and convergence since 2019. In 2022, the discussions in the ABVTEX Steering Committee and Board and the SLCP Operations Technical Advisory Committee advanced to the assessment of more concrete opportunities. Read more about the collaboration here.  New!  FAQ on CAF and Human Rights Due Diligence  We have received several queries about whether the Converged Assessment Framework (CAF) is an appropriate tool for companies looking to meet human rights due diligence obligations. To address these, we have added a new FAQ to our Helpdesk providing information on how the CAF can support due diligence compliance.  Please feel free to share it with interested industry partners.  New!  Factsheet on Overtime Working Hours As a follow-up to our 2021 Impact Report, we are delighted to share our factsheet on overtime working hours. With observations based on the 2021 SLCP verified data, the factsheet informs about compliance trends and the significant effects of unlawful overtime working hours. Mark your calendar for the GFA Monitor Masterclass The Global Fashion Agenda (GFA) Academy is kicking off its online GFA Monitor Masterclass series with its first session on 31 January. SLCP Executive Director Janet Mensink has been invited to speak on GFA priority ‘Respectful and Secure Work Environments’.
