Update on SLCP Launch in Cambodia
SLCP and Better Work have taken the decision to postpone the launch of the Converged Assessment Framework (CAF) v1.5 in Cambodia. A new launch date will be communicated in Q2 2023. This way, emerging feedback from industry stakeholders can be addressed and integrated. This will allow SLCP and Better Work to conduct consultations and discussions, including in the context of upcoming Due Diligence legislation. Better Work and SLCP will stay in close contact with their signatories/ brand partners and the Cambodian manufacturers’ association, TAFTAC, on developments.
We are looking for an experienced communications and stakeholder engagement professional to join our team full-time for approximately seven months. The deadline for applications is 31 March. Find out more about the role and how to apply here. Please share the vacancy notice with anyone you think might be suitable for this role!
Examples of SLCP Adoption
SLCP is increasingly being used in sectors beyond apparel and footwear. In this case study, hard goods brand Klean Kanteen shares how the comprehensiveness of topics covered by the CAF and its broad applicability make it easy for hard goods brands to use. Additionally, watch this video to hear from global leather processing company JBS Couros on their experience of adopting SLCP.
