SLCP Signatory NewsflashOur 2024 Impact Report is live, get important updates on the SLCP Signatory Model, meet SLCP’s new Passive Accredited Host, and more!
We are excited to release our 2024 Impact Report, highlighting the progress we have made and our collaborative efforts to drive meaningful improvements in working conditions across global supply chains.
Based on aggregate facility data from over 10,000 SLCP assessments completed in 2024, covering an estimated 7.3 million workers, the report features key trends and insights into working conditions.
Key data insights from the report include:
Trends and insights into legal non-compliances, with most related to wages and benefits (p. 16-17).
Findings on correlations between excessive overtime and the use of subcontractors and work wages based on legal requirements rather than a living wage (p. 18-19).
Gender breakdowns on salaries and managerial roles, along with information on in-kind benefits offered to women (p. 22-26).
Attention needed: Important changes to SLCP Signatory Model
SLCP is driven by its signatories, who play a vital role in shaping its direction. To further strengthen this model and promote equity, accountability, and transparency, SLCP is proposing some updates to its Signatory model.
The proposed changes include:
New accountability requirements for Signatories regarding voting and survey participation
Updated Signatory Charter language to reflect accountability changes
Expanded Civil Society Caucus in the By-Laws to include academia and mission-driven non-profits
Revised fee structure to remove barriers to participation and to promote more equal representation
Manufacturers: signatory sign-up fee reduced to $200 USD
Civil society organizations: Permanent fee waiver
Audit firms: No longer required to be Signatories to act as Verifier Bodies

We’re excited to share that Retraced, a data-centric platform driving sustainable change in global supply chains, has become a new Passive Accredited Host for SLCP.

Since the launch of CAF v1.7, SLCP has expanded to 44 additional new countries. This expansion supports our ongoing efforts to reduce audit fatigue across the global supply chain.
If you’re a brand or manufacturer wanting to expand SLCP to a new country, start the conversation with your preferred service providers to build the necessary capacity where you need verifications.
Our latest case study features manufacturer Urmi Group. By implementing SLCP, Urmi Group has been able to reduce audit fatigue, strengthen buyer relations and internal capacity, and cut down operational costs. SLCP data also supports Urmi Group in tracking and complying with industry benchmarks, while supporting human rights due diligence efforts.
Urmi Group said, “The SLCP framework has empowered Urmi Group’s facilities to systematically address social sustainability challenges while providing a clear roadmap for continuous improvement."
