Vacancy: HR & Talent Manager

SLCP seeks an HR & Talent Manager, with a broad experience on human resource management and team development in a small yet globally operating organization.

The HR & Talent Manager is responsible for defining and implementing a robust human resource management program, supporting team members across the world. The HR & Talent Manager has an eye for development needs in the organization and can support in internal training and courses.

Role and Responsiblities

Primary Duties

SLCP is key in maintaining and growing our culture. With a growing team, the HR & Talent Manager will:

  • Maintain, refine and improve strategy and processes in terms of human resource-, diversity & inclusion- and talent management.

  • Oversee and together with colleagues & partners implement the smooth operation of these areas. This includes:

o Prioritize organization culture and identity, and ensure they are represented consistently in all SLCP HR activities;

o Enhance the professionalism of the organization through our competency framework and performance management;

o Develop and maintain fit-for-purpose HR policies and procedures as independent non-for organization;

o Ensure legal compliance, transparency and other good practices in wages and benefits in a global team.

o Support and guide the senior management team and Program Coordinator to attract and retain talented staff;

o Build out learning and development (L&D opportunities within the organization) including needs assessments, set priorities together with the Senior Management and (organize) execution.

• Drive & lead HR and talent management related internal communication and stakeholder engagement. This includes:

o Provide clear messaging to the team (with support from comms); o Maintain and organize accessible documentation for the team
o Give regular updates to the team in writing and public speaking

(presentations in full team meetings together etc),
o Facilitate discussions on new concepts and proposals o Establishing feedback mechanisms,

o Being a visible and accessible resource for staff to raise issues and questions.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Ensure that organization & team related goals and objectives are accomplished

  • Support the CEO and COO primarily, and provide additional support to senior

    management team members, as directed, on human resource management.

  • Take feedback from team, update and roll-out new policies & procedures, including

    making these accessible to the team.

  • Ensure that human resource management and talent management in the broad sense

    runs efficiently and is equitable, including contracts for team members, compensation

    levels and development opportunities.

  • Build-out and implement internal training, coaching and mentoring opportunities.

  • Support managers and team members to identify and evaluate effective external training

    options where needed.

  • Build-out, analyse and report back on annual SLCP culture surveys.

  • Assist and communicate with leadership in recruitment (coordination, program

    management, advisory).

Required skills and qualifications

The HR & Talent Manager is a people manager and proactive problem solver with a broad experience on human resources and team development in a diverse and inclusive working environment. They have exceptional communication skills and meticulous attention to detail. They should have experience working in an on-line/remote office environment, performing operational administrative duties, and providing strategic support to the leadership. Given the dynamic nature of the role, the HR & Talent Manager will need to be flexible and consistent while maintaining the confidentiality of organizational data, systems and operations.

    concurrent projects.

  • Fully proficient in the English language, including high-quality written English, Dutch

    highly preferred.

  • High level of integrity and discretion, awareness of sensitivity of information,

    maintaining a professional approach and work ethic and strict confidentiality with

    sensitive information and documents.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint in particular) and

    experience/quick learner in other software tools.

  • Flexible team player, willing to adapt to changes and unafraid of challenges.

  • Experience in developing internal processes and digital filing systems.

  • Energetic mindset, focused on developing creative and innovative solutions.

The HR & Talent Manager will ideally be based in the Netherlands within commuting distance of Amsterdam for regular in-person check ins with the CEO and COO.
