SLCP launches new Guidance on the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD)

The new Guidance document demonstrates how SLCP's Converged Assessment Framework can support CSRD compliance.

August 20, 2024 – The Social & Labor Convergence Program (SLCP) is excited to announce the release of its new Guidance on the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). The Guidance illustrates which aspects of CSRD compliance SLCP’s Converged Assessment Framework (CAF) can support with, and which are out of SLCP’s scope.

As the world moves towards mandatory corporate sustainability reporting, the CSRD emerges as a pivotal regulatory development for companies both within and outside the EU. The Directive aims to enhance transparency and accountability in addressing human rights risks across global supply chains. SLCP’s CAF, which is designed to align with international labor standards and national labor laws, provides actionable and reliable data to support effective human rights disclosures.

This new Guidance from SLCP is designed to support stakeholders in understanding the precise role that SLCP data can play in CSRD compliance, detailing the CAF’s coverage for each disclosure and outlining SLCP’s role and limitations in this context.

The Guidance serves not only as a resource for brands seeking solutions in preparing to meet reporting obligations, but also for other stakeholders, including manufacturers, grappling with the complexities of the CSRD.
