Further, check out our upcoming events and our Quality Corner info.
Worker Engagement Technology (WE Tech) Launched

SLCP’s platform for collecting workers’ experience is now live. WE Tech is a digital platform for workers to report information directly and anonymously about their experience working at a facility. WE Tech improves the verification of sensitive data such as harassment and discrimination. It is mandatory for SLCP full virtual verifications and beneficial for SLCP on-site verifications. Visit our Helpdesk to find out more.

To support the launch of this technology, stakeholders can join a focused WE Tech Webinar to learn more about WE Tech. These ‘Introduction to SLCP Worker Engagement Technology (WE Tech)’ webinars will include the opportunity for Q&A. Please register for your preferred date and time zone using the links below:
2022 Annual Report

As expressed in our Governance Documents, the Council is accountable to you as an SLCP Signatory. The Annual Report is one of the means to do so. We are pleased to announce the publication of our 2022 Annual Report, which marks another year of continuing progress for SLCP. By the end of 2022, just under 10,000 facilities were registered on SLCP’s Gateway and the number of assessments grew by 63% from the previous year, with over 7,200 verified assessments completed.

The report highlights the benefits of reducing audit fatigue and unlocking resources for improvement programs. An estimated $23m of resources were unlocked in 2022 – money that can be reinvested back into better working conditions across supply chains.

SLCP aims to be relevant to facilities everywhere and we are now scaling in more countries and diversifying in adjacent and new sectors at a faster rate.  Read the 2022 Annual Report here.
Reminder: Signatory vote on Strategy and independence (deadline 22 September)

Last week we launched the final draft of our new Strategy (2024-2028) and plans to become an independent organization and we opened the Signatory vote on both. We already received a lot of votes (thank you!). For those who haven't cast their vote, please do so before the deadline, midnight CET on Friday 22 September.  For details please refer to our Signatory Portal.

Take part in the vote NOW!

Quality Corner

Prioritizing Quality: Tips for Facilities

Facilities can access information about the risk level associated with a specific Verification Body (VB) before selecting one. The process of quality assurance (QA) involves various activities to monitor VBs and their Verifier's performance. These activities, such as VB system checks and Verifier scores, contribute to an overall VB score, which is continually updated. This overall score is then translated into a risk-based scale with three levels: 1 (low risk) to 3 (high risk).

To access information on the risk level of a specific VB during the selection process, facilities are advised to refer to the VB List. This list provides a clear indication of the risk level associated with each VB. To view the risk level, simply click on the VB's name.

Additionally, facilities are encouraged to actively review the individual scores of VBs. Since SLCP only shares aggregated scores, it is recommended that facilities request a current screenshot of the VB dashboard directly from the VB. This step ensures a more comprehensive evaluation of the VB's performance and quality.
