Last week's Signatory webinars
It was fantastic to see so many of you at last week's signatory webinars. During the sessions, the SLCP Secretariat provided an update on recent developments under our strategic aims. We then split into smaller breakout groups for interactive discussions with signatories on four topics: updates to the CAF; the introduction of full virtual verification; SLCP and human rights due diligence; and SLCP data quality and integrity. A recording of the first half of the webinar and the slides of the presentation are available on the Signatory Portal.

Developing the next CAF release: signatory input
The content changes for the next CAF update have now been finalized and the CAF v1.5 will launch this November (all relevant resources will be shared here on the Helpdesk shortly). Based on learnings from previous CAF updates, in order to launch the CAF v1.6 in early 2024, we need to start the planning now. Development of the CAF v1.6 will be driven by a signatory Taskforce. If you would like to join the Taskforce, please let Susanne know before 15 August. Those who join will be expected to review documents and provide feedback throughout September and October, and begin attending meetings in November. If you do not wish to participate in the Taskforce but would like to provide input for the CAF v1.6, please submit your feedback in writing to Susanne by the end of September. Please include as much detail as possible.

Vacancy! Consultancy project to evaluate SLCP's impact measurement
Can you help SLCP find a consultant to review, update, and validate our methodology for calculating the potential "resources unlocked" through SLCP adoption? In order to ensure independence, we are looking for a non-signatory to complete this project, but would welcome signatories sharing the vacancy notice to their networks. Alternatively, we welcome suggestions for suitable candidates to be sent to Holly in the Secretariat.

New Blog! What makes an MSI fit for supporting corporate due diligence?
In the latest article in our blog series, we set out SLCP's view of the five main indicators of an effective MSI for the purpose of supporting companies to implement human rights due diligence. We will be encouraging European policy makers to consider these indicators when developing guidance on key indicators of a fit-for-purpose "accompanying measure" for sustainability due diligence.
