The principles of data quality and integrity are also embedded in all aspects of SLCP’s design, set-up, and operations:

Program governance

SLCP has a transparent and inclusive governance model that encourages signatory ownership of the CAF to ensure that SLCP verified data meets signatories’ expectations on quality and integrity. The SLCP Council is elected by signatories and representative of the signatory base. Signatories can also participate in a range of Technical Advisory Committees. Find more information here.

Operations

SLCP offers free e-learning to all SLCP users and stakeholders to drive accuracy and quality during the assessment process. Facilities, Verifiers and end-users are provided with ongoing support through the Helpdesk and QA Knowledgebase. SLCP also has a public facility page showing the assessment status of every facility to promote transparency.

Data hosting and sharing

SLCP has a unique data hosting and sharing system that promotes comparability and enables integration of quality data. SLCP ensures that only credible data enters the system by requiring verification and conducting several automated quality checks. All SLCP data is securely stored in the Gateway, built by the International Trade Centre (ITC), a UN agency. You can find out more here.

Communications and stakeholder engagement

SLCP maintains its multistakeholder approach by regularly engaging with and updating signatories through events, email newsletters, reports and the Signatory Portal. SLCP establishes partnerships and steers collaborations with trusted industry stakeholders to drive continuous improvement of data quality and integrity.

Data Insights

Using data analysis and reporting, SLCP offers a transparent review of its progress and impact, along with insights based on quality data that can inform efforts to improve working conditions in supply chains.
