SLCP & amfori collaboration

19 May 2020

We are pleased to announce that SLCP has signed a collaboration agreement with amfori to explore greater collaboration. Our organizations share a common objective to eliminate audit duplication through trusted verified data exchange, enabling a redirection of resources to have higher impact on working conditions in the supply chain. The purpose of the agreement is to promote cooperation between SLCP and amfori for the development and execution of a three-year plan.

Janet Mensink, Executive Director of SLCP, commented “I am delighted to share this news and am sure many stakeholders will be pleased to hear that collaboration between amfori and SLCP is moving forward in this way. This collaboration holds a tremendous opportunity for streamlining social audits. Redirecting resources from audits to have impact on working conditions is at the heart of both our organizations. Working together can only make us more effective. Now that we have signed the agreement, we can get started on our three-year plan to extend our collaboration and we will report back regularly on progress.”

Christian Ewert, President of amfori, said “I am very happy to be working together with SLCP; this collaboration fully aligns with our vision and feeds into the aspirations that we hold as our core values as a company. By joining forces with SCLP we have the opportunity to increase social audit efficiency and increase the impact on working conditions in the supply chain. We are very much looking forward to moving forward together and strengthening our partnership in the coming years.”

We will update our stakeholders on this work as it progresses.
